London-based Resolutiion has raised $10.4m from Cherry Ventures, Octopus Ventures, LocalGlobe and Berlin female-founder fund Auxxo, taking its AI dispute-detection platform into defence and energy contracts.

Resolutiion was founded in 2022 by Fayola-Maria Jack, who ran commercial transformation across the Royal Air Force's £6bn operations before moving to the Cabinet Office to lead its Complex Transactions Team. She also set up the government's first commercial dispute resolution practice and advised departments through the UK's exit from the EU.

The thesis comes directly from that experience. By the time a contract dispute lands with legal teams, most of the recoverable value has already gone. Resolutiion sells software that flags the problem months earlier.

The company puts the cost at £50m to £90m in losses for every £1bn of contract value. Its platform pulls live data from signed contracts, supplier messages, emails, invoices and project trackers, and runs it through an AI system called Octavia, built on its own OctaviaCore technology.

The system looks for patterns rather than clauses. A supplier drifting on delivery dates shows up in message traffic and logistics data weeks before a formal claim is filed, and the platform then coordinates next steps across the parties involved.

Four investors appear on the new round: Cherry Ventures, Octopus Ventures, LocalGlobe and Auxxo, which backs teams with at least one female founder and closed its second fund at €33.3m earlier this month. Neither the stage of the round nor a post-money valuation was disclosed in reporting of the deal, and the split between new and follow-on money has not been detailed.

The 18-person company has recruited from Darktrace, Klarna, Luminance, Everlaw, Uber, Accenture and KPMG. Jack holds an MBA from UCL and is completing a PhD on dispute resolution and behavioural science.

Resolutiion enters a UK legal AI market where the capital has so far gone to pre-signature tooling. Luminance raised $75m last year and has now taken $115m in total; Robin AI has raised more than $50m across two rounds. Both work on drafting, review and negotiation before a contract is signed.

Resolutiion is targeting what happens afterwards, when the work is under way and the money is already committed. That is a harder forecasting problem than reading terms on a page, and a larger pool of value at risk.

The wider contract management software market is projected to grow from $3.65bn in 2026 to $9.62bn by 2034. The new capital is earmarked for the post-signature segment of that market, with defence, energy and manufacturing the first sectors in line.
